NJ SECURITY GUARD OFFICER CAPTURES BANK ROBBER

ATLANTIC CITY NJ– An Alabama man was arrested Friday after a security officer detained him during a bank robbery attempt, police said.

 

Police say that Brandon Lesueur, 39, of Helfin, Ala., allegedly presented a note to the Wells Fargo teller at about 9:30 a.m., demanding money.

 

When police responded to Wells Fargo, Officer Paul Aristizabal found the suspect already in custody of bank security.

 

Security Officer William Rodriguez, 55, of Ventnor, had already detained the suspect and had him in custody when police pulled up to the bank.

 

Lesueur did not show or threaten to use a weapon, Sgt. Monica McMenamin said.

 

Lesueur did not get any money and no one was injured, McMenamin said.
